What is Palliative Care
When you or a loved one is seriously ill, it changes all parts of your life. You might feel powerless or alone. It may be hard for you to enjoy life. Where do you turn? Palliative care can help. Palliative care is focused on comfort and compassion it is care that meets the special needs of each person. “To palliate” means to relieve. Palliative care helps relieve the symptoms of disease.
Medicare Hospice Benefit
The Medicare Hospice Benefit is a specialized program provided by the federal government to eligible individuals facing a terminal illness with a life expectancy of six months or less. It covers a wide range of services including medical, emotional, and spiritual support, as well as medications and medical equipment related to the terminal illness. This benefit allows patients to receive quality end-of-life care in the comfort of their own homes or in a hospice facility, promoting a peaceful and dignified transition.
Palliative Facility
Global Hospice started building the first and only palliative care centre in El Paso, Texas, in the summer of 2011. We decided to do this because the city asked for a palliative care centre, and we wanted to show that we are committed to meeting the community's needs. We understand how important it is to provide great care at the end of someone's life, so we wanted to offer more than just home services. Our new state-of -the-art facility is designed to make patients feel comfortable and well taken care of.
“Our goal is to care for Your Loved One with Love, Hope and Compassion.”
